On the ten year anniversary of the adoption of UN Security Council’s Resolution 1325 “Women, Peace, Security” in 2010 the global campaign “16 Days of Activism against Violence against Women” features the theme of  Militarization and Violence against Women.

This year again the Reconstruction Women’s Fund, Women against Violence Network, Autonomous Women’s Center and Feminist Travelling Caravan will distribute printed material and inform to the public on the prevalence of violence against women and about the campaign’s activities, in the goal of opposing this form of women’s human rights violation.

40 000 pamphlets will be printed and distributed to all interested groups in Serbia, the “If We, the Dead, Rise Up…” movie, created during last year’s campaign, will be presented to the media.

 

Activities of this year’s campaign

November 23rd at 12pm: Press Conference, Media Center, Belgrade

November 25th, 3pm:the Feminist Travelling Caravan’s performance “My Body, My Territory”. Trg Republike, Belgrade

The performance will be shown in the following cities:

December 1st, 11am: Velika Plana, Women in Action

December 1st, 3pm: Kruševac, NGO Sandglass

December 2nd, 11am: Leskovac, Women for Peace

December 2nd, 3pm: Niš, Roma Women’s SOS Line “Osvit”

December 6th, 3pm:.   Loznica, NGO Lighthouse

November 28th, 6pm: Movie projection:  “Queen of the Bandits”, presented by Staša Zajović – Women in Black, Illegal Cinema, Belgrade
